Origami Games is a collection of 21 origami models, from letter-size paper, that can be used to play 22 different games–competitive ones for skill building, and cooperative ones that foster teamwork. The book also encourages you to come up with and document your own games by providing a blank game description form at the back of the book. Also included are suggestions for using origami games in the classroom. “I teach origami in Chicago at the Garfield Park Conservatory (Chicago Area Origami Society). I was in a Borders bookstore last month, and I came across one of your books, Origami Games. Let me say that it is a wonderful addition to the world of origami literature. I used to say to myself, ‘We don’t need another origami book; there are so many.’ Then I find a book that offers diagrams to fold models, and then those models can be used in games! Amazing! I hope you don’t mind, I borrowed some of your ideas (text) from the back of your book, the section on the developmental benefits of origami. I’ll be using some of those ideas in my workshops to inspire patrons to fold. Thanks again for the great ideas.”

“It was so much fun, and I love having the kids make their own ‘fun’ while getting such a practical skill at the same time (fine motor skills).” –Montessori teacher
